The physical therapist will utilize techniques in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve impairment.
Do I need to see a physician before seeking treatment from a physical therapist?
Yes and No. The state of Arizona is a direct access state which allows a patient to be evaluated by a physical therapist without a prescription from a physician. However, most insurance companies still require a patient to obtain a prescription or referral from a physician to be treated by a physical therapist. If you plan to use your health insurance, please contact your insurance company to verify if a referral is needed.
